MICHAEL
Chances for Children has helped give Michael of Balranald, the opportunity to fulfil his life long dream of becoming a medical doctor. Whilst Michael has always worked during his time as a student, the costs of living away from home to study are high and often prevent young people from rural areas taking up offers of future education. Chances has provided Michael with the necessary funds to enable him to live away from home and has contributed to the costs of text books and basic medical equipment. Michael plans to graduate from Monash University with a Degree in Medicine at the end of 2007.

LEIGH
Leigh is one of five children at the Cohuna Consolidated School currently receiving assistance from Chances for Children. Leigh is 6 years old and in Prep. He has the support of an Integration Aide, through Chances funding. The Aide assists him on a one to one basis with language and mathematics helping him to develop these skills to a higher level.

MELISSA
Melissa has received financial support from Chances while studying at university from 2004 until 2007. The support, including mentoring from Jennifer Taylor from Ernst and Young, has enabled Melissa to grow both personally and professionally. She is currently in her fourth year completing a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) degree and in the midst of her final semester.
