How to Contact Us
Mentoring is a mutually beneficial relationship between a more experienced person with a less experienced person to assist them achieve their identified goals. The relationship provides an opportunity to share professional and personal skills and experiences. Usually a one on one relationship based upon encouragement, constructive comments, openness, mutual trust, respect and a willingness to learn and share.
Successful mentoring relies on the foundation of a trusting relationship and focuses on the strengths of the mentee. A good mentor will offer timely advice. Mentors don’t necessarily have answers; they do however know the right questions. The role of the mentor is to encourage inquiry.
There are many different types of mentoring programs operating within various parameters; school based, welfare and industry based.
