LLA is a partnership developed between the school, volunteer, student and their family in order to create a plan of assistance for the student. The student and volunteer work together in the class room either in a one on one situation or in a group setting.

Due to the success of the LLA pilot, it was decided to share the key learnings so all schools could implement the program to ensure the best outcomes for all students.

To do this, the LLA manual was developed to enable schools to tailor the program to suit their individual needs. The manual sets out the key steps required to successfully integrate the LLA program into the school community. It also includes examples of templates and forms that may be of use.
